During Biden’s campaign for the 46th president of the United States, in 2019, Joe promised that he would “end the fossil fuel industry” and did just that.

Similarly in 2020 on the Democrat primary debate stage, Biden promised to wage war on the American oil industry by terminating subsidies and drilling feasibility.

“No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry,” Biden said. “No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period,” Biden said of his energy policies if he won the presidency. “It ends.”

Biden did keep his promise by banning new oil and gas leasing on federal lands and ordering federal agencies to go green cancelling the Keystone pipeline on the first day of his presidency.

The result of Biden’s actions have caused gas prices to skyrocket from $2.54 when he took office to over $5.00 per gallon causing a hardship on many Americans.

Biden was very bold when he announced that he was signing the order terminating the fossil fuel industry, but why has he not taken responsibility for the outcome of his policies?

In May, Biden celebrated record-high gas prices, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels.

He has blamed the rise in gas prices on Putin, the oil industry and now gas station owners, but this is part of his plan for the sake of climate change.

Asking foreign countries like Saudi Arabia and Venezuela for oil is a ridiculous move on Biden’s part, but typical of what his administration has done regarding other issues like the withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan, opening the southern borders, inflation, etc.

May, 2022, 2,000 people (democrats, republicans & independents) were asked what their concerns were.  52% of all the people agreed that inflation is their major concern and 16% are concerned about climate change.

It is time for Joe to change his focus and make American first again, not last.
