How could I complain during this holiday season? It wouldn’t be right when everything is decorated with lights, bows and sparkles. I got in the Christmas spirit after going to two Holidays concerts. The last one actually had a “real baby” playing the Christ child and live donkeys on stage, in addition to Cory McCloskey of channel 3 as the MC for a faux American Idol competition. I am always amazed at the untapped talent that people have, not only in the Valley, but all over the world (I love listening to Susan Boyle).
I have attended 7 holiday parties, one of which was the Designers Circle Holiday Party held at Roseo Design Center (thank you to the 250 people who attended my party), and have 2 more to go, enjoying the wine and food at every one of them. I have bucked the crowds at the shopping malls waiting in lines for what seemed like an eternity.
I am now looking forward to doing nothing until the new year. Nothing in my world is not working every single day for 10 hours, but cutting back to 4 or 5 days, 5-6 hours a day. Sounds like a vacation to me.
So while I’m sitting at my desk with my feet up dreaming of a White Christmas, I would like to wish all of you a very happy and healthy Holiday, and an extremely prosperous 2014, from all of us at Designers Circle. By the way, “all of us” is me and Jim, my life partner and husband for 45 years.
I’ll be back complaining about something in 2014, so until then . . .
Enjoy the season!
