What would you do if you suddenly found yourself without your phone or your computer? If you are like most people I know, you would freak out. Even if you don’t have a business to run, I am pretty sure you have become dependent on emails, googling, texting, shopping, etc. When there is a snafu and something technical goes wrong, we feel totally helpless wondering when “they” will get the problem fixed. “They” are only human and it takes time to figure out the problem and then correct it. Hmmm, I wonder if computers fix computers!! If that be the case, it should take no time at all to straighten out the system. I guess I can compare this to my clients asking why their remodel project takes so long. It all takes time and patience.
Last week I did what I do every Sunday, update Designers Circle and set up Constant Contact so that on Monday morning you all can open up your email and check out what is going on. Unbeknownst to me, Constant Contact had issues, for lack of a better word. I was shocked! This is not supposed to happen. The phone calls started coming in asking if I was OK. How nice that some of you wait by your computer on Monday morning to read about your Design Community happenings. I do want to emphasis that Designers Circle is a website that can be viewed anytime of the day or night, but I digress!
So Constant Contact did fix their issues by Wednesday, and everyone can rest easy for now . . . until the next glitch messes up our day.
I would like to thank everyone for supporting Designers Circle.
Have a very happy and fun Thanksgiving.
