I have seriously been thinking about not following any news related events on social media. What do I care about the Kardashians’ baby bumps, or anything else they do? . Their show, “Keeping up with the Kardashians” will be soon turning into “Watch me have a Baby” and Romper Room Runway. Not interested. 2018 should be the year to purge those publicity hogs from all media.
I have to admit I was following the despicable Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey but now the subject is getting way too crowded. Don’t get me wrong, I do not condone what these weirdos have done, and what all the other disgusting things men have been reported doing in Hollywood and the private sector. Famous people who have been abused, molested and/raped are just a small percentage of people who have experienced trauma like this. Why do the famous rule the headlines?
Do I care that I haven’t seen Beyonce’s twins since they were born, or what George Clooney’s wife is wearing when she goes to the grocery store? (Do you think she really does her own shopping?) And, of course, do we really care that Carrie Underwood just broke her wrist? She can use the other one, right?
Let’s not forget about the Royals. The media covers every move the Queen makes possibly because they are hoping to catch her last breath on camera. Let the old lady live in peace already.
Not reading the news will give me less stress and more time to shop. Now, that’s something I’m not giving up any time soon.
