At one time these items were stylish, but not they are dated and should be replaced.
- Tile countertops – grout is breeding bacteria
- Carpeted Stairs – painting, staining, or adding a runner to the stairs would be a definite up-date
- Gaudy hardware & light fixtures – yes, there are some who enjoy this look, but simplicity is the key
- Overdone window treatments -Heavy looking valances, fringe and dated draperies are a thing of the 90’s.
- Mirrored Bipass closet doors – Popular in the 80’s but doors should be replaced with bi-fold or barn doors, if possible
- Glass Block – should be replaced with textured or plain glass
- Wallpaper & borders – update with new patterns
- Faux stone fireplaces – update with real stone
- Intercom Systems – these and stereo systems in furniture should go
- Clutter is out – organized spaces are in
- Carpeting in the bathroom – UGH!
