Nancys avatarIt seems that I have no problem coming up weekly with something to complain about. I can attribute my New York upbringing for that talent, but obviously I am not the only one who has something to say about everything. I make a conscious effort to listen to what others are saying and here’s a few topics that seem to be on the top of the list:

Slow Wi-Fi: It’s not a big deal! Remember when we had to write letters, use paper maps and leaf through the daily newspaper? The people in North Korea don’t even have access to computers. Where would you rather live?

Long waits at Drive-throughs: You’re sitting in your air conditioned car listening to music for a few minutes when, like magic, a hand pops out with food in a bag. What’s to complain about? If the employee is rude, that’s something else, but if they get your order wrong, hey, that’s why they call it fast food!

The Weather: Get over it! Unless you are a landscaper or a ditch digger, you have nothing to complain about. If you don’t have air conditioning, walk around the mall for a while. When was the last time you shoveled snow in the Valley of the Sun?

Facebook: If you don’t like it, don’t get on it, don’t open it, don’t read it, don’t do it! End of conversation!

Mondays:  What’s the big deal about Mondays. Everything has to start somewhere, so Monday is a good beginning. You can always start your week on Tuesday or Wednesday or any other day, but you’ll always have a Monday!

If I have missed a topic you delight in complaining about, send me a note. No sense in complaining to yourself when I can be your audience. After all, you have been listening to me for years.
