On July 31st, I wrote an article praising Joe Biden for finally doing something about the open borders in Arizona.

Specifically, on July 29th, Biden quietly authorized completion of the Trump-funded U.S.-Mexico border wall in an open area of southern Arizona near Yuma, where four wide gaps make it among the busiest corridors for illegal crossings.

In the past, Biden was repeatedly be critical of Trump, his border wall, and his immigration policies — which he referred to as “xenophobic” and “racist.”

He specifically wrote that the slogan “build the wall” was “divorced from reality” and a wall “won’t stop the flow of illegal narcotics or human trafficking, both of which come primarily through legal ports of entry.”

“Nor will it stem the numbers of undocumented, most of whom over-stay legal visas,” he added.

In August, 2020, Biden said, “I’m going to make sure that we have border protection, but it’s going to be based on making sure that we use high-tech capacity to deal with it. And at the ports of entry — that’s where all the bad stuff is happening.” Brilliantly put, and, in addition, he gave Kamala Harris the position of Border Czar.  His plans obviously didn’t work.

Biden also ceased all new border wall construction after he took office and has told Congress to cancel funding for border wall construction.

He has since ramped up border security measures. and also continues to use billions of dollars Congress appropriated for the wall’s construction. He cannot legally refuse to do so — he is only permitted to pause border construction projects.

“The Biden administration’s flat refusal to use funds that have already been set aside by Congress to build the border wall is not only illegal and unconstitutional. It’s also wrong,”

We now have well over a million illegals roaming around the U.S living on the American taxpayers.

Because we are nearing the November elections, Joe decided to bump up his popularity (what popularity?) and build the wall near Yuma.  He didn’t give a start day nor a completion day, but has been putting all his time into touting his $430 billion spending bill and going on vacation accompanied by his crackhead son, Hunter and family.

While the Bidens are enjoying the beach life, Arizona’s Gov. Doug Ducey began moving 60 ft. shipping containers to close a 1,000-foot gap in the border wall near Yuma on Friday, August 12, 2022. Two 9 ft, high will be will stacked and topped with 4 ft. high razor wire welded to other shipping containers. This plan is expected to be completed within days.

Ducey said, ‘We can’t wait any longer. The Biden administration’s lack of urgency on border security is a dereliction of duty.’

The Yuma sector of the border, 126 miles long, has seen an almost 300 percent increase in ‘border encounters’ – migrants arrested by Customs and Border Protection agents – this year, compared to the same time frame in 2021.

Yes, Ducey is trying to solve the problem, but why did it take so long? Any why are the other border states following suit?

This is my opinion and I welcome your opinion, as always.
