Nice interview, Nancy!
My clients select/use gray-tones judiciously. Although, the white marble (real stone) look has been pushed away by interior designers… however, homeowners/retail public continue its demand. Classics are consistent – as in Carrara!
My exposure with professional designers: colors are implemented based upon a combined agreement between the interior designer & homeowner, design slant, desired outcome, time-to-next remodel…
Your comment is apropos… the person who lives in the space is who determines what is acceptable and is the final judge!
