Please take note! Rarely does it happen that I don’t have something in the “rant category” to write about, but this is one of the few times. I never thought I would say I am too busy to whine, but it happens.
The Masquerade Ball is nearing and keeping me and my committee very busy preparing for this great event on October 24th. I have never been to a Masquerade Ball (can you believe it?) so I am very excited . . . can’t wait to see everyone in their fancy dress and masks. The Masquerade Ball (www.masqueradeballaz.com) will be one of the “parties of the year.” The other is the Designers Circle Yearly Christmas Party – December 17th.
Designing and remodeling homes is my passion. I have been making dreams come true for some of the nicest people in the Valley. We are all seeing an increase in business and I am happy to say that my design business is booming. My projects stretch from Litchfield Park to Scottsdale so I spend a lot of time driving…that’s why I complain about the drivers!
This week I will be experiencing Maker Faire 2015 in New York. A Maker Faire, for those who are not familiar with this event, is part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new! As a celebration of the Maker Movement, it’s a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Faire gathers together tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. Makers come to show their creations and share their learnings. Attendees flock to Maker Faire to glimpse the future and find the inspiration to become Makers themselves.
I will be sharing lots of pictures of Maker Faire on Designers Circle’s Facebook page, so stay tuned.
So now you understand why I am too busy to kvetch (complain) today, but you can be sure that I will have plenty of material for my soapbox when I get back from the Faire.
The energizer bunny has nothing on you. Enjoy your trip to NY and say hello to my kids.
Have a blast Nancy!!
thank you, Lori, I definitely will.
