HOME DESIGN CHAT WITH NANCY
This year’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS 2023), held in Las Vegas, celebrated its 60th anniversary and broke attendance records. After visiting all 1,600 booths, Jan Rutgers, founder of Vestabule School of Design, is back with us to share her thoughts about what she discovered at the show. Jan felt the emphasis was on form and function and will discuss some of the items that depicts this:
- Fluted cabinet doors
- Base cabinet light strips
- Black metal accents
- Curvy islands
- Matte black appliances

I like Jan’s commentary & opinion’s! She brings a wonderful perspective from a real-life point-of-view.
I remember the fluted surface material used as cabinet fronts and covering the end of a curved cabinet.
The cabinet light strip idea is novel & one of “why-didn’t-anyone-think-of-that-years-ago’!
You two are very symbiotic!
