Last Thursday, August 2nd, we flew to the World Market Center in Las Vegas for the day. Cindy Lewton, this year’s ASID Prez, and I had experienced the Hospitality Show and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show recently, so we felt we didn’t want to miss the semi-annual Market Day this year. I must say, the architecture of the World Market Center, designed by Jon Jerde, is quite impressive. It is comprised of 3 buildings offering a total of 5 million square feet of display area.
We found several very interesting pieces of furniture like this metallic studded chest.
and this very comfortable chair that might be used in a project we are working on.
This chair is interesting but we won’t be using it anytime soon.
Love this chandelier from Bel Air Furnishings. Wish I had a place for it.
Several floors were dedicated to accessories and holiday decorations. After I snapped this picture, I was told “NO PICTURES.”
The MOST interesting sight of the day was this building designed by Frank Gehry. It is right across the street from the World Market Center. Who knew?
Hope you enjoyed sharing our day in Las Vegas. We never know where our next adventure will lead us.
